About Marc

My name is Marc Fraser-Bell and I have dedicated the past 30 years to refining a process of remedial massage that focuses on the efficiency of movement and pain relief. Why live with pain and inefficient movement? I have an answer…

Therapeutic Journey

I have been practising Remedial & Sports Massage on the GC for the past 3 decades. Prior to moving into this field, I competed nationally and in internationally as a world-class swimmer; this leading to a scholarship at the A.I.S in Canberra followed by a scholarship to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I graduated with degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology. During my time competing and studying overseas, I had several operations to fix chronic shoulder injuries and it was during this time I developed a passion to pursue and develop a process of bodywork and treatment that I so longed for while I was competing but never received.

Fundamental Shift

After going through the constraints of injuries personally, it was this need and understanding that underpins my primary belief that “the problem is not the problem”. The injury that manifests, most of the time, is influenced by a primary injury or alternatively from poor biomechanical movement and/or posture. As a result, by only treating the symptoms, this alleviates the pain and discomfort; but rarely amends the situation. I always assess and treat the body as a whole and search back to the source of the problem.

Personalized Approach

My personal vision after years of treating all forms of pain and injury is to assess each person's condition as unique. Quite simply, one size does not fit all when it comes to treating the body. I always look outside the box when treating each individual’s movement and pain, whilst trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together to target the source and influencing factor. Everyday movement whether at work, home or playing a sport is a series of patterns you repeat each day if the patterns are imbalanced, muscles are too tight or too weak then this will eventually lead to problems, injuries or chronic pain. It is with this in mind that I have developed a modality enabling me to provide a holistic approach to each treatment.

Accomplishments

In view of my own commitment to provide the ultimate expertise in the area of therapeutic bodywork, results speak for themselves.
